Dr. Syed Ahamed

Dr. Syed Ahamed

I received Ph.D. and D.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Manchester University in England, but I was drawn towards an MBA in Economics at the Stern School Business of New York University to discover how inventions and technology are being deployed in society. I do hold more than 20 US and International patents. I am a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers and a Fellow at Intelligent Network Systems Laboratories of the Stevens Institute of Technology at Hoboken, New Jersey.

Over the last two decades, my thinking changed considerably towards being a philosophic and contemplative researcher rather than being an inventor and contributor of high-tech gadgets for a fast moving Internet society. Algorithms and devices have a place in the scientific world but what faces mankind is to avert the impending disasters and catastrophes during the next few decades. This is basis of my newest book dealing with Wisdom Machines and Knowledge Processing.
